Chapter 1

The Shifting Talent Landscape and Dayforce’s Opportunity

Monica Reynolds

Hey everyone, welcome back to the Dayforce SKO 2026 Breakout Sessions Recap. I’m Monica Reynolds, and today we’re really digging into what’s happening in talent development and how Dayforce is transforming the game. Now—if you’ve listened to the previous episodes, you know we’ve talked a lot about operational efficiency and the role of unified platforms in HR tech, especially when it comes to things like payroll and partner strategies. Today’s focus is a bit different—we’re all about people and growth.

Monica Reynolds

The big headline? Let’s talk about fragmentation. If you look at the talent development tech landscape right now, there are just... so many point solutions it’s kind of ridiculous. Compliance, learning, upskilling—everywhere you look, it’s another vendor, another login, another integration headache. Organizations are spending all this time and money just trying to make things talk to each other, and I gotta be honest, it gets exhausting. I remember early in my career—this was, oh, I dunno, probably before the cloud was, like, cool—I was tasked with managing training compliance across three separate platforms. And I mean, I was constantly exporting data, importing spreadsheets, there was always that feeling in the pit of my stomach like, “Am I actually tracking everyone who needed compliance training, or did someone fall through the cracks?” It's not just about complexity, it's about risk.

Monica Reynolds

So that’s why this current shift we’re seeing—the movement towards consolidation around HCM suites—is so huge. Gartner’s surveys show that back in 2023, about a quarter of HR leaders said they were all-in on a cloud HCM suite. By 2025? That’s jumped up to about a third. I know, numbers aren’t everything, but that’s an 8% swing towards unified systems in just two years—that’s a big deal. And all of this fragmentation, all the chaos, is really Dayforce’s opportunity. We’re seeing Talent as our fastest-growing product, which is wild—$24 million in Learning and Content sales for 2025, which actually makes up 39% of all Talent sales. That’s being driven by a 29% compound annual growth rate over the past couple of years. So, folks are moving away from all these disconnected tools and betting on one integrated platform to drive efficiency, reduce those integration nightmares, and, honestly, make their lives easier. I wish I had that back in my compliance spreadsheet days!

Chapter 2

Innovations in Learning and Content: AI, Personalization, and Compliance

Monica Reynolds

Alright, so let’s zoom in on what’s actually happening inside the Dayforce Talent platform. The product team has been on an innovation tear, and there’s some seriously exciting stuff on the roadmap. If you haven’t played with the new Dayforce Learning and Content experience yet, let me paint a picture. We’re talking about full AI-assisted course creation. There’s seamless integration with Udemy—so you don’t have to keep switching platforms—and automated attendance tracking via Microsoft Teams. One of my favorite little features is the way the system auto-replaces decommissioned content, which saves so many headaches for admins.

Monica Reynolds

But the real breakthrough, and this is definitely something I would’ve killed for as a learning admin, is the new AI course creator. It’s not just marketing fluff—this tool can actually take your team’s expertise, or even internal docs—PDFs, videos, whatever—and generate a course outline with text, images, quizzes, all in seconds. And—here’s the kicker—it supports multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, French, and German. So, if you need to roll something out to a global workforce? Suddenly it’s not an impossible task. I’ll be honest, though, and the product docs are pretty clear on this: compliance review still matters. The AI gets you, I’d say, 80% of the way, but someone’s gotta check that final content before it goes out to the company.

Monica Reynolds

Quick story—one of our early adopter clients tried the AI course creator and was blown away at how fast they could prototype new compliance modules, but their legal team... well, let’s just say they weren’t quite ready to let a robot handle the final sign-off. Can’t blame them, honestly! But it’s such a game-changer for HR and L&D teams—it takes all those back-and-forth cycles out of the process and frees people up for more strategic work.

Monica Reynolds

Something else that’s making waves is the move to personalize learning paths using skills signals—so learning activity actually connects employees to career paths. If you need a real-world stat, Natural Factors had something wild like 140,000 course completions in three years, and they filled 261 roles internally. That’s career mobility in action, not just buzzwords.

Monica Reynolds

Compliance at scale—personalization at scale—that’s where this is all heading. And just to tie this back to what we discussed last episode about unified operational platforms, it’s only possible because we’re working from one data source, not a tangle of separate tools.

Chapter 3

Go-to-Market Strategies and Real Customer Wins

Monica Reynolds

Let’s switch gears and talk go-to-market—because innovations aren’t enough by themselves, right? You gotta package them in a way that delivers value from day one. Here’s what I think is most interesting: when we bundle Learning, Content, and Career Explorer together—as in, the full Talent Development Plus package—the average deal size jumps by 225% compared to just selling Learning alone. Like, that’s not a rounding error, that’s a game-changer in terms of impact and client outcomes.

Monica Reynolds

Now, frustratingly, a lot of deals are still just single-product. We’re leaving value on the table by not bundling more aggressively. But the customers who do go all-in? Legal & General, for example, is using the platform to scale upskilling and internal mobility across a big, distributed workforce. Evri’s another great story—they’re a large enterprise, brought in Learning and Content, and now compliance and talent progression just sort of happen in the background, rather than being a constant firefight.

Monica Reynolds

There’s a marketing campaign running globally too, so we’re really seeding the demand and accelerating engagement, not just waiting for folks to stumble across our solution. It’s about meeting them where they are, whether that’s at industry events, online, or through direct outreach, and giving them that ‘aha!’ moment about consolidated talent solutions.

Monica Reynolds

And, just before I wrap, I’ve gotta call out something that’s a bit behind-the-scenes but honestly a lifesaver for sales teams: TICA, the new internal ChatGPT-powered Talent Intelligence and Content Agent. I actually used it last week before a customer pitch—I just needed some fast positioning talking points, the kind you can never quite remember on the spot. Typed in a couple prompts, got everything I needed in like five minutes, and walked into my meeting totally prepped. It just makes expanding opportunities and prepping for tough conversations so much faster.

Monica Reynolds

So, summing it up—Dayforce is rewriting the rulebook on how talent development gets done, from tech innovations to smarter go-to-market strategies. We’ll keep tracking how this evolves and bring more customer stories and deep dives in upcoming episodes. Until then, keep challenging the status quo!
